FULL-TIME CONTRACT POSITION (2 YEARS)

Technology PEI is seeking an individual to provide leadership in the development and implementation of a sales and marketing program for its technology centres (Atlantic Technology Centre and Food Technology Centre). Reporting to the ATC General Manager and the FTC Executive Director, this individual will be responsible for attracting new business to the technology centres, retaining and encouraging the growth of existing businesses as well as focussing on specific target segments of customers.

Duties:
• Developing a sales and marketing program and managing the implementation of sales activity for the effective recruitment of commercial and institutional business to the technology centres including the identification of sectors of strategic importance and firms within these sectors offering the greatest potential.
• Developing, maintaining and delivering extensive sales relationships with new business clients and initiatives, with intergovernmental representatives (to identify and secure opportunities for the centres in areas of development and investment), and with existing commercial and institutional technology clients of the centres in order to retain their business and encourage their growth.
• Coordinating and planning technology centre advertising and promotional activities for the services available through the centres.
• Providing market research into sectors which may provide business opportunities for the technology centres, as well as developing a feedback system for client satisfaction.
• Representing the technology centres to local business and industry organizations.

Salary Range: $21.24 - $26.55/hour (Level 17)

Qualifications


University degree (preferably in business administration) with a minimum of three years sales and marketing experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills including excellent public speaking and group facilitation skills.
• Strong computer knowledge in word processing, spreadsheet applications and internet research.
• Leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
• Knowledge of media and advertising.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prepare and work within assigned budgets.
