Description


Provinent is currently in search of Developers for its Fredericton location. Suitable candidates must be self-starters and extremely confident in their skill set in order to apply knowledge to the e-learning field and systematic design of computer-based courseware.

Developers will be responsible for programming browser-based solutions using current programming languages and applications.

Specific responsibilities include:
- Coding courseware to specifications, reviewing and debugging courseware using a previously defined functionality specification
- Verifying the completeness of the code and documentation
- Reporting time and providing estimates-to-complete (ETCs)

Required attributes include:
- Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate, both oral and written, with client and staff
- Strong attention to detail and task management
- Ability to work within a dynamic team environment.

Candidates will only be considered with appropriate training and/or development experience.

Qualifications


Candidates are required to have working knowledge of Macromedia Flash (ActionScripting ability is mandatory). Other desired skill sets include: (X/D)HTML, XML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Knowledge of: Trivantis Lectora, Macromedia Authorware, databases, server-side scripting, Java, C++, Visual Basic, VBA, XSLT, e-learning standards (AICC/SCORM), Common Look and Feel Standards and Guidelines for Intranets and Extranets (Treasury Board of Canada), W3C Web Accessibility Initiative, and audio/video production are considered assets. The position requires proficiency scripting in Macromedia Flash.
