KenNet Inc. Is a non-profit community organization located in the town of Kensington, P.E.I. KenNet Inc. owns and operates the Knetwork Centre, which provides access to IT services for Kensington and surrounding communities. Knetwork Centre features office suites, a computer training lab, incubator space for new IT companies and entrepreneurs, and a sophisticated network infrastructure that enables services such as video conferencing. General Manager
Reporting to the volunteer Board of Directors, you will assume overall responsibility for providing leadership and direction to KenNet Inc. You will be responsible for fulfilling the mandate and business plan of the organization and accountable for managing day-to-day operation, including financial management, managing seasonal staff, and business development to maximize the potential of the Knetwork Centre facility.


Qualifications


As the ideal candidate, you have a Business Administration degree, a strong technology background and at least five years management experience. You are a self-starter, possibly an entrepreneur, who enjoys working independently to achieve organizational goals. You posses excellent communication skills and have the ability to create good working relationships with members of the community, as well as provincial and federal government representatives. Your organizational skills will enable you to manage multiple projects and programs effectively at the same time as providing sound day-to-day management of the Centre. Ideally you have the experience in the not-for-profit sector and have worked with a volunteer Board of Directors.
