Position Overview
Sensor Wireless is a growing company located in Charlottetown, PEI. The company develops Active Wireless Sensor Technology for national and international clients in a variety of industries. For an overview of the company please visit www.sensorwireless.com . We are looking for candidates interested in a Programmer/Analyst position within our company.
Essential Job Functions
In conjunction with the engineering team develop communications protocols between firmware and software
In conjunction with the engineering team, development test structures for functional testing and debugging of software
Developing software for Web based applications
Microsoft based business server maintenance
Tungston Palm PDA software development
Develop documentation and standards for software development
Non-essential Job Functions
As required, research into the latest software developments
Communicate to company latest advances in the software field
Attend trade shows and customer review meetings to demonstrate software
Develop presentations for trade shows and customer demonstrations
Qualifications
Candidates for this position should have the following qualifications:
A degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science, 2+ years of experience or a Diploma from Community College and 4+ years of relevant experience
1-3 years of C, C#,.NET and Delphi development and object oriented design experience
Knowledge of Web Services
The ability to work well with-in a team environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiar with Microsoft Office
Excellent oral and written communication skills
The following would be considered assets for this position but not a requirement
Experience with CVS, XML, SQL, PL/SQL, Active X and PHP
Experience with Java
Basic of knowledge of electronics and RF technologies
Other Skills/Abilities
Strong organizational/time management skills
Ability to multitask
Ability to carry out project analysis and time line forecasting
Committed to lifelong learning
