Artistic Lead

BightGames, Mobile Games Developer

Charlottetown, P.E.I., Canada

BightGames is looking for a talented Artist to lead our team in creating high quality game assets. In this role you will be responsible for conceptual artwork as well as directing the art team on the realization of concept for in-game assets.

Qualifications


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Create treatments to illustrate art direction in a pre-development phase.
- Create and design characters usable by the art team.
- Create and design environment treatments to be used by the art team.
- Ensure consistent artistic style throughout all elements of the game.
- Ensure asset delivery.
- Interact with any outsourced contractors to insure artistic quality.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

- Effective and clear communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
- Portfolio displaying:
* Strong sense of character and posing.
* Understanding of set and background design.
* Ability to create designs that remain strong viewed at small sizes.
* Ability to work in a variety of styles.
- Knowledge of common production software (Photoshop, Flash, etc) is a recommended, but not essential.
- Experience with 3D a plus, but not essential.
- Bachelor Degree/Equivalency or previous production experience.
