Position Summary:

SandCastle Technologies Inc. is currently recruiting Quality Engineers for its operation in Prince Edward Island. If you want to be a member of an exciting growing business within the Healthcare segment, we are looking for you!

The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for testing product software utilizing both manual and automated techniques. This candidate will require experience using automated tools for both unit and system-level testing. Experience testing software, which interfaces to medical or medical related systems, is desirable.



Qualifications


Required Skills:

Quality Engineers will have the following skills;

- Familiarity with software quality processes, methodologies, and standards
- Strong skills in the use of MS-Office
- Experience testing and documenting Windows based applications across a LAN, WAN, or other network environment.
- Familiarity with QE tools for software defect tracking, test plan creation, test procedure development, and documentation.
- Experience with QE scripting languages, auto test tools, and documentation repository tools (e.g. Doors, Domino.doc)
- Knowledge and/or experience working with the "Agile" software development methodology
- Willingness to participate in business travel as defined by business needs.
- Experience in healthcare IT is considered a benefit
- Excellent communication skills

Educational Background:

- A computer science degree or diploma from a provincially recognized IT program (e.g. Holland College) coupled with a related under-graduate degree.
- Education is preferred, but experience will be considered in lieu
