Position Summary:

SandCastle Technologies Inc. is currently recruiting Software Engineers for its operation in Prince Edward Island. If you want to be a member of an exciting growing business within the Healthcare segment, we are looking for you!

The Software Engineer is responsible for product development in a variety of healthcare IT related applications. Experience in healthcare IT and standards such as IHE, HL7, and or DICOM would be considered a benefit.


Qualifications


Required Skills:

Software Engineers should have the following skills;

- Able to work well as an individual or as part of a development team.
- Strong skills in use of MS-Office
- Experience with Oracle relational database &/or application server
- Programming experience with MS-VB, PL-SQL, Java, C++, or MS-VS.Net
- Recent product development experience in either client/server and/or web application development
- Strong hardware & software troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of TCP, HTTP, FTP and other communication protocols
- Experience with project management tools such as MS-Project
- Experience in healthcare IT and standards such as IHE, HL7, and/or DICOM is considered a benefit
- Knowledge and/or experience working with the "Agile" software development methodology
- Willingness to participate in business travel as defined by business needs.
- Experience with administration of Oracle db products and versions


Educational Background:

- A computer science degree or diploma from a provincially recognized IT program (e.g. Holland College) coupled with a related under-graduate degree.
- Education is preferred, but experience will be considered in lieu
