Description


Maintain internet sites and associated technology on a platform includes Microsoft Windows 2003 Servers, SQL Server 2005, and ASP.NET technologies. Experience scaling Microsoft-based server and database architectures is essential.

We need someone with hands-on experience in production environments with real-time performance demands and experience scaling an enterprise. Operations will work with the development team to ensure that site performance and capacity improve, and that all system changes are implemented smoothly. Operations will support and collaborate with the development team on product architecture and capacity planning.

Work together with third party systems administrators to resolve security, technical and capacity issues relating to integration. Manage the support of the 24x7 uptime requirement for this site, including participation in on-call rotation. Provide performance tuning and automation for applications, systems and network.

Qualifications


Required Skills: Experience running large applications, with a 100% uptime requirement. Extensive experience administering Windows Server environments (Microsoft Windows Server 2003, IIS, Microsoft SQL Server 2005, ASP.NET applications), with focus on production stability and deployment. Proven leadership / technical troubleshooting abilities

Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to produce written documentation for a technical and non-technical audience.

Adaptability to work quickly and change directions as priorities change. Self starting and highly motivated. Positive attitude and willingness to take on new responsibilities, Pluses include application diagnostic/development experience, SQL development or system DBA experience, and significant build/release experience.
