Position Summary:

SandCastle Technologies Inc. is currently recruiting a Technical Writer for its operation in Prince Edward Island. If you want to be a member of an exciting growing business within the Healthcare segment, we are looking for you!
The technical writer will develop information for dissemination in various media including
· Online help
· Printed documents
· PDF files
· Web

Duties:
· Plan, develop outlines, and research topics to create documentation in the appropriate media in response to requests by product teams and other customers.
· Acquire information from design specifications, applications, and interviews with subject matter experts.
· Prepare documentation in conformance with standards and within agreed schedules.
· Collaborate effectively in a strong team-oriented environment.


Qualifications


Required:
· RoboHelp vX5
· FrameMaker v7
· Microsoft Office Suite
· Experience in the field
· Knowledge and experience in laying out documents for different media (print, online help, web)
· English proficiency
· B.A. in relevant major

Must be able to:
· Meet schedule and cost requirements
· Work with remote teams as well as independently with minimal supervision
· Adhere to documentation standards and process
· Be proactive and take initiative
· Be current in the field; STC member a plus

Desirable:
· Experience in the healthcare industry
· Structured FrameMaker
· Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., Documentum)
· Experience in training design
· Experience in marketing communication
