Terms of Employment: 12 Weeks @ 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: $10.00 / Hour
Location: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island - Education Technology Center, 40A Burns Avenue.
Hours of Work: M-F, 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to perform problem diagnosis, repair, upgrade, configuration and set up of refurbished computers which have been donated to the PEI Computers for Schools Program.
Duties:
1.Assist Technicians with running diagnostic software and replacing defective components.
2.Installing network interface card in computers.
3.Install school image onto computer.
4.Apply all relevant technical standards and procedures.
5.Document components of system on appropriate form.
6.Assist Department of Education staff in setting up of computers on site.
Qualifications
Must be registered as a full time student in an Information Technology related discipline at a recognized private college, community college or university in Canada.
Must be between the ages of 15 and 30.
Must display a willingness to learn and be able to function effectively in a team environment.
Must be able to work efficiently and responsibly under minimum supervision.
